Merit Hospice

We used Merit Hospice for my mom for her final years. The entire staff is so caring and compassionate. Mom had advanced dementia requiring help with her daily needs. We had an aide, nurse, social worker, pastor and volunteers to assist in her care. I highly recommend working with Merit for your loved one’s final needs!

With so many options out there for hospice care, we consider ourselves extremely fortunate that we had Merit caring for our loved one. Every person involved exceeded every expectation we had. Communication was phenomenal. It was very apparent that the care given was genuine. In a situation where a loved one is placed in the care of someone other than family, we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Gail was our very first point of contact. She made the transfer of care seamless. Gail hand delivered a card and flowers after our loved one passed on. A gesture we did not expect but were not surprised by given our experience with Merit. Amy and Jenn were amazing at communicating. Whether it was a change in care or specific things that were needed. They both were transparent and honest no matter the situation. For that, we are very grateful. We realize there were others involved. It takes very special people to do that job day in and day out. Knowing Merit gave her the best care in her final days is absolutely priceless.

Merit Hospice was recommended to us by my Dad's home care agency, Autumn of Life (who had provided excellent in-home care for Dad). Turned out to be a great recommendation, Merit Hospice stepped in and helped our whole family enter a place we had never been before, that of having a loved one in hospice care. They were warm, compassionate, and professional; their heart for hospice care was evident and so very helpful. They were a blessing during a really tough time.
