Just awful. Someone came over and checked vitals. She was not a nice or pleasant person. This was of no help. Someone else came and bathed the person. The hospice sent a crappy, ancient hospital bed that injured the primary caretaker's hands twice, ripping off large areas of skin. They sent medicine to relieve pain and anxiety, which the family had to administer. They sent diapers and bed pads. The only actual help they offered was the bathing. It was a terrible experience. I had previously had two excellent experiences with different hospice agencies. There are good ones out there. Enhabit Hospice is lousy.
Hospice did not care for my husband the day he died. I had to call them to check on him twice that day and they never told me he was dying. I thought he had gone to sleep with his eyes half closed and no one ever told me different. Every time he was checked on I would say I could not believe he was sleeping with his eyes open. The truth is he was in a coma and died that night. The nurse at the facility turned to me and said he was not sleeping. I knew what she meant. He had died. Of course hospice was not around. I wish I could give lower than 1 star. I will never recommend Encompass Hospice. I am still having difficulty with his death because I was not sitting by his side when he died because I thought he was sleeping.
I am a caretaker for one of your patients. The CNA that is assigned to my patient is totally amazing. (Monique) She is kind, friendly, and considerate to the patient and to the family: She takes great care in bathing the patient and caring for her needs. She has strength, and skill, to lift the patient safely. You are fortunate to have such a fine woman on your team. A+++++
