This organization is beyond unprofessional. In just a few weeks, we have experienced SEVERAL incidents. Most recently the nurses aide took a photo while my parent was not dressed, with pubic area exposed & sitting on the toilet. The aide then sent the photo on a group text where I received it. So incredibly humiliating to snap a photo of an elder without their consent and distribute on a group message. Additionally, in our family care meeting - the chaplain was 20 minutes late to the meeting & when he arrived, he sat down & went to sleep. This organization is run haphazardly and disorganized. I requested the document of the services that are supposed to be provided by Accord, I never received it. Upon 2nd request, still never received it. Another example is when they have told us the nurses aide has visited, there is no record to reflect that the aide visited because there's no name signed in on the client record sheet.

My family and I highly recommend Accord Palliative and Hospice Care for any families navigating the heartbreaking journey of watching their parents grow older and more frail. My mom's health declined rapidly after several moves in and out of 3 different senior facilities as well as 3 separate rehab stays in between; all of this occurred within 4 months. We researched and toured numerous places as we struggled to find a good fit for her many medical conditions, including congestive heart failure, Essential Tremor, and Alzheimer's We were very fortunate to be referred to Accord during this challenging time. Diana from Accord was an immediate help. She guided me through the process of settling my mom into memory care along with hospice care from Accord. The Accord staff worked closely with the facility to ensure that my mom's physical and mental needs were met with grace and dignity. In particular, Diana was a significant source of support for me as well. Previously, I thought hospice was only available for patients with a specific terminal cancer diagnosis. She helped me navigate the various steps to qualify my mom and ensure she received the nurturing care she needed. We are so grateful for Accord.

We were fortunate to have been connected with the entire team at Accord as our Mom returned to her Assisted Living facility from an extended hospital/rehab stay a few weeks ago. From the moment we contacted them, the team directly engaged with us and her facility to seamlessly coordinate her care. We were kept informed of her condition and regularly received care plan coordination calls. Her passing a week ago was preceded with a extra layer of care, as her nurse stayed extra hours on Saturday evening waiting for her comfort meds from the pharmacy, and their chaplains ministered to her and us. My wife and I were blessed to be the ones to discover that she had passed, and the nurses that responded and waited with us were such a blessing. If you choose hospice care for your loved one, I offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Accord.
