VITAS Hospice - Greenville

Our family will be eternally grateful for the excellent and compassionate care my Dad received. If your loved one needs hospice, this is who you should choose. Jennifer was his nurse and LaTasha was his caregiver. My Dad was shy about being cared for by anyone. LaTasha is the sweetest most lovely person and he quickly got over that and began looking forward to seeing her because of her gentle kindness. We all looked forward to seeing her and she will always be family to us. We love her and you will too. Jennifer also gave amazing care and told us what we needed to hear for his best benefit. She’s strong and compassionate and will remain in our hearts always. Together, their care allowed him to live out his last days with dignity and love. Special thanks to the amazing Claire and absolutely awesome LaKenya who filled in when needed. We also want to recognize James for his kindness. Very big thanks also to Patti. She was a godsend of support for us all and especially my mom who was going through so much during this time . Patti is amazing

Jessica our tech and Robin our Nurse along with the Greenville Vitas team have been angels. They have been here for us in our time of need. They took the time to learn about my dad and paid such attention to detail that they can see the smallest change in him physically and make the necessary adjustments to keep him comfortable. They are so patient and listen to his needs, no matter how outlandish they may be. They have excellent communication with us and have exceeded my expectations. We made the switch from Home Health to Hospice due to his rapid deterioration after having 2 aggressive neck surgeries that unfortunately were not 100% successful and caused loss of feeling and functioning of arms and legs. When we moved to hospice after Thanksgiving, I did not think he would make it to Christmas, he was going down hill so fast. With their care and love, they were able to make him comfortable with medicine management and providing the right medical equipment and supplies and he has more or less stabilized and is on cruise control. We are blessed to welcome this team into our family and look forward to their continued care and collaboration.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to our care team especially Robin, Amanda and James. You treated our Mom like your own, you were encouraging, kind and patient with our family. We are eternally grateful for your help and could not have asked for a better team. Pat S. Family.
