Opened in January 2025, VITAS Healthcare's Fort Worth Inpatient Hospice Unit is a brand-new, fully renovated freestanding facility located within five miles of the Fort Worth medical district. VITAS is the nation's leading hospice provider, and this 12-room IPU reflects that experience: private rooms with flat-screen TVs and overnight accommodations for visitors, two shared family rooms, a quiet room, and three outdoor courtyards. The specialized team offers respiratory therapy, physical and occupational therapy, intravenous pain management, and a nationally recognized veterans program with an on-site memorial for each military branch. Pets are welcome and families have 24/7 access. Care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance.

My mom was a cancer patient. Doctors sent her home and we requested to have at home hospice care for her. She was at home just for 3 days before passing but all the time we had someone coming over to check on her. Her last day, nurse explained us what was happening with her body getting ready for the transition from life to death They were very kind, very supportive and caring Thank you for what you do
My mom (Sandra Werley) was in the Vitas Fort Worth facility for 3 days. From the time we arrived late on a Friday night, my mom was treated with dignity and respect. The staff made sure she was clean and comfortable, and our family felt very much at ease with her being there. The nurses were so caring and did an amazing job with her. Anything we needed, they were right on it. Losing a loved one is very difficult; however, Vitas made the transition from life to death much easier because I knew my mom was not hurting or uncomfortable. The nurses' aides were wonderful, and the doctors kept us informed. The chaplain prayed with us and continues to call and check in on us. I can't say enough of how impressed my entire family was with this facility.
Im just a friend of the family that is staying there. But when we have visited they have been always checking up on the patent. And always asking if theres anything else that they could help. The family is going through a hard time and the nurses keep giving even with all of there other patients around seeing them busy.
