My 2 star rating is not on care this hospice facility provides cause they declined to help my brother in the nursing home he is at so it's unfair to rate their care. This rating is on the admitting procedures the staff and administrators at remarkable hospice go about admissions. First day met a hospice staff employee at my brother's nursing home after a brief history on my brother and signing a few forms to get the ball rolling on getting my brother in hospice I was told a hospice nurse would be going over next day to evaluate my brother if he would be accepted or declined for remarkable hospice next day early got a call that consent forms needing my signature and initials and if I could sign forms ASAP told them was at doctor's appointment and would sign forms in a few hours got another call around 2 in the afternoon stating nurse has been at nursing home evaluating my brother and I needed to sign forms I apologized and signed and initial the forms took 3 minutes and quickly called back asking if they could review forms they told me my brother was declined ! I got upset not that he got declined but how did he suddenly get declined in the 3 minutes it took me to sign the forms ? Especially if the hospice nurse had been there already waiting on my signature ? Why doesn't remarkable hospice first evaluate the patient decide if nurse is going to accept or decline patients then ask for forms to be signed and submitted ! I don't know about you but with so much scams and frauds getting out of hand in this country I don't want to put my name and initials on a damn paper for nothing !!! Shame on remarkable hospice for going about this procedure to get new patients in their hospice program all I can say is if that's how they treat us what does that say about the service and care they provide our loved one in hospice !
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS WHO PRAISE THIS PLACE! This place is absolutely evil. The staff is HORRIBLE. They will leave your loved one on the floor to die, they will treat them like pests and neglect them. These people do not care for their patients. They don't feed them on time and they don't give medicine on time. They IGNORE the patients and if your loved one is having any kind of trouble, including life threatening problems, they could end up dying because the staff does NOT take their jobs seriously. What a vile and horrible place, they will not last very long and I am sure they have lots of lawsuits. They will have another one soon.
This is by far the best Hospice team I have ever experienced! They took such great care of my mom and I will forever by grateful. Cathy was so wonderful and had such a gentle touch with mom. Maria was so caring and loving. She always kept me informed and was right there when mom needed her. Her experience gave me the feeling of comfort and compassion just as she was showing my mom throughout Remarkable's Service. These kind and gentle ladies are a blessing at a time when you really need the support. Remarkable worked like a well oiled machine from the doctors to the chaplain (Adelin). I am so grateful that my mom experienced the best care and individuals available. I'm sure that the whole staff at Remarkable Hospice is exceptional and strive for excellence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
