Writing a review for Harbor Hospice has been on my mind for a long time now. The main problem was is that I just didn’t know how to express all my feelings to the beautiful Care that my mother have received back in August 2024. From the day she made her final decision in the hospital that she just did not want more poking and prodding in surgeries after dealing with years and years of Parkinson’s and heart trouble and COPD. I am her daughter and was blessed to be in her caregiver for years last couple years, of course were most difficult. But when we came to this point where she was so strong and could make her own decision the hospital suggested Harbor Hospice, and that was the best decision of my life at that point. Marco first come up to meet us at the hospital and just when he walked in. We both felt more peace and comfort than I can’t even put into words. He helped me get her rolling on getting her set up and home where she wanted to be the last days or the last few weeks of her life. Once we got her set up in the house, it didn’t take long at all Crystal to come in and do her nurse assessment and we became instant family. It felt like. Leticia was her caregiver that would come and clean and bathe her and bless her with faith stories and the most sweetest Care in love that she gave to my beautiful mother. When we got to the last few days, we knew it was getting close and that’s when Jude came in the last few nights, he would not take his eyes off of her and made her feel as comfortable as she could literally until the very last moment. The way this team handle everything I can honestly say I could not have done it without them. I love them like my own family and attention and care, and the rapid response that we got on anything that my mother needed. My mother was at rest and at peace, and a lot of it. Most of it was the way they came in here with their faith and love. I couldn’t have done it without any of y’all. The way Crystal was with me speaking with me and how she was with my mother I trusted her like no other. I know everyone has different experiences , at this experience of mine and the hardest time in my life for losing my mother was made actually beautiful and sweet and kind and I couldn’t ask for more.!! God Bless You !!

I had no idea what to do when my mother went into the hospital and we found out she had pancreatic cancer. I was the only child able to be there for her and because of that i was responsible for making all these decisions that I had no clue how to handle. Thank god for Marco from Harbor Hospice. He was so sympathetic and took me step by step thru this heart wrenching time. We were struggling to find a rehabilitation place that would take her, i think they knew she was worse than we did. Marco found a olace when everyone else turned us down. She sadly passed very quickly and we didnt even have time to use their services but he still cared enough to reach out and check on me and my family . So if you’re looking for people that truly care about your loved one, I would seek out Marco from Harbor Hospice.

Lack of communication and very poor management. We went over a month without seeing a nurse and she would not return phone calls or texts. Management was silent as well. In that month’s time my husband’s condition degraded. While the social worker and chaplain are wonderful, everything else was unprofessional. Look elsewhere as this is not the time to add stress to your plate.
