Gentiva hospice has been a blessing. Their incredible support, caring and prompt attention to our needs for my dad is amazing. I want to thank Jason for keeping my dad super clean, Italy and all the nurses, Liz the chaplain and Laura. I wouldn’t be able to do it without the entire team at Gentiva. They have been so great that when my aunt had to go on hospice, there was no question. I definitely recommend them in taking care of your loved ones.

All support staff were professional and very competent. They showed up on time and provided sound and caring guidance during very challenging and emotional time. Equipment and supplies showed up on time and worked as stated. I highly recommend this Professional staff to anyone needing home Hospice support!

The biggest concern with this company is the noticeable lack of consistency, communication, and leadership throughout the organization. It is very common to see a different nurse at nearly every visit, which created confusion, gaps in communication, and legitimate patient safety concerns regarding continuity of care. Communication from the office was equally inconsistent depending on who answered the phone. Interactions with Jaclyn and Frank frequently reflected a lack of coordination and follow-through, making even simple concerns unnecessarily difficult to resolve. There also appeared to be very little leadership or accountability from the Director Jaclyn. Conversations often felt more centered around personal topics than the actual care, comfort, and needs of patients and families during an already difficult time. Hospice care should be built on empathy, compassion, reassurance, and trust. Unfortunately, the overall environment often felt impersonal, as though patients were being treated more like numbers than individuals. As a matter of fact when I was asked for this google review I felt like it was transactional, you can tell the staff is getting paid for reviews. The high staff turnover was also noticeable and seemed to contribute to the ongoing communication and organizational problems. If you’re going to get rid of staff at least get better nurses because the ones you have now are stuck up and snobby and they do not belong in Hospice. Idaly, Mayra and even at times Jason the aide, they all talk to you like they know more than you and in several instances I have heard them talk bad about my loved one. They are not there to help the family. They are only there to earn their paycheck. Even when a patient is at a nursing home, they should still take their time to be thorough and assist the patient not just stand around and gossip. Families considering hospice care should strongly value consistency, compassion, and responsiveness, and those are not qualities consistently demonstrated at Gentiva Hospice. Save yourself a headache and choose a different company.
