Run! Worst experience of my life. Was delivered a box of meds with no instructions on day 2. Day 3 my dad started declining - immediately called the nurse for help and instructions on the meds and she told me she had to finish her laundry before she could come to the house but to give him a dose of morphine. I administered the lowest dose of morphine on the bottle label possible to help with pain since he couldn’t swallow. When she arrived 2 hours later she pumped him full of morphine, told me I had “gotten behind on his meds” and “what you give orally could have been given rectally” then proceeded to tell me she “could give him the whole bottle of morphine and it wouldn’t kill him”. She mixed a cocktail of morphine and anti psychotic drugs and pumped it into his mouth. Told me “this generation just has a thing against morphine “. The last thing my dad was able to speak was “no morphine” and she shot another vile in his other cheek. She rolled him over and administered oxycodone in his rectum (he screamed louder than I could ever imagine). His Cheyenne stokes started and the labored breathing and screaming was awful. She told me “I’m going to make a phone call and take a smoke break”. When she came back in she told me “just go with me on this… i told them he was climbing out of the bed and in psychosis so they’d put him on 24 hr watch and send another nurse.” She then ordered another med to be delivered… she gave it to him, the other lady (not an RN) arrived and she left. Within an hour or so of getting that med he was dead. When I read about the drug she ordered the next day I saw it should never be given to someone with afib (which my dad had). This is pure neglect and this nurse’s license should be removed immediately. Hoping to save someone from this misery by sharing my story. We were on hospice with Centric for a total of 2 days and my dad was gone and I’m traumatized replaying the order of events over and over.

Centric killed my dad last year by saying he didn't need his heart meds when he had congestive heart failure,he died 3 days later now they are giving my mom 2 meds that causes the patient to need oxygen and can put them into a coma and stop breathing . Those drugs are lorazepam and hydrocodone. The FDA says these will kill someone. I'm sueing

Centric - Greenville (home hospice) helped me care for my mom through a very painful illness until her passing. Absolutely top notch and answered any questions I had. Nurse Penny, Aide Sheila and Chaplain Mike went above and beyond to make my mom as comfortable as possible as well as supported me while caring for her. They were responsive and honest to every question. The after care has also been phenomenal. Each of them have followed up after her passing including Chaplain Cooper. This review was not solicited but rather well deserved. Thank You to the entire team at Centric in Greenville.
