I had attempted to utilize Bloom Health Care Services for my mother’s care. She is 78 years old and living in an independent living facility and in poor health. On multiple occasions I contacted bloom healthcare and asked for a visit to my mother and to discuss her health care with me to determine a course of care for her as she has multiple issues. At every turn they failed I asked for a call when they schedule a time so I could be there. I asked if they could then call me after the appointment as we discussed in our initial call nothing. Then I called because my mother was nauseated and throwing up and we had been to the hospital and we needed a referral to a gastrointestinal doctor. They said we will be out Monday or maybe Tuesday and they would call me to let me know when nothing so I called once again on Wednesday and they didn’t even have a day and said that she was not even on their schedule. I came to them because I needed help managing her care and I had to run down everything over and over again. What I was hoping was going to be care that I could count on turned into care that I had to completely stay on top of at all times. If they say they are going to do something in order to get it done I had to continually contact them.

With over 18 years in the Home Health industry and more than 14 years in management, I’ve learned that reliability and follow-through are critical to an agency’s success. Bloom has been serving the San Antonio area for nearly three years, and they have done an outstanding job building relationships and consistently delivering on their commitments. Their clinical and administrative teams truly stand out in this field. They understand the importance of communication, coordination of care, and being available to the nurses and agencies that depend on them daily. As an owner, one thing I stress constantly in healthcare is that timely follow-up and accessibility are essential in preventing unnecessary ER visits and hospitalizations.
