I'll always be extremely grateful to them, especially Becky, our lead nurse for my mother. She is truly a compassionate person. I really don't think I could have made it though without her. Also, our first point of contact at Methodist hospital, Tracie Garcia, really put us at ease to proceed with hospice. During the most difficult and sad times of our lives, my son and I were able to depend on the best care possible for our mother. She sadly passed away very quickly after being discharged from the hospital.

On behalf of my whole family, I would like to thank the staff of Bayou City Hospice for the care they provided to our family as we navigated our mother's final days at Houston Methodist Hospital Willowbrook last month. It was a very difficult time for our family, but once Bayou City took over managing our mother's care in the hospital, we were able to focus on what mattered most, being with mom. We were particularly grateful for the way they made sure that our mother was not be moved to another facility, despite the hospital policy of allowing only 72 hours of hospice care onsite. Despite the hospital's interest in turning over the bed, Bayou City put the comfort of our mother and our family first and repeatedly and successfully made the case that moving mom so close to her transition was not in her best interest. It was a battle we didn't have to wage at a time we were vulnerable and we are forever grateful that they stood in the gap on our behalf. I highly recommend Bayou City Hospice.

Exceptional Care and Compassion The Bayou City hospice team that cared for my dear friend Nell was truly extraordinary. Nurse Sabrina was an absolute blessing — her kindness, patience, and compassion went far beyond duty. Even when Nell could no longer speak, you could see the peace and comfort that came over her whenever Sabrina walked into the room. They had such a special bond, and it meant so much to all of us. Anna was also wonderful — gentle, understanding, and incredibly patient. She always respected Nell’s preferences, waiting until Nell was ready before providing care. She never took it personally and treated her with dignity and love every single time. The entire team met Nell exactly where she was, with grace and empathy. They understood her spirit and cared for her as if she were family. Their professionalism and heart made an incredibly difficult time so much easier. I’ll forever be grateful for the compassion and support they provided to Nell — and to all of us who loved her.
