VNA Hospice Care - Dallas

VNA is the worst hospice company ever. If I didn’t have to give them a 1star to let you know how bad this company is, they would not get a star at all. They will talk a good talk in the beginning walk around Baylor hospital. Oh, but they are bad and don’t educate the caregivers. I had to put up the bypass oxygen machine myself at home, not knowing if it was put together correctly or not. The home hospital bed was just put in place right when patient came home and this was very scary. Some of their staff didn’t show no heart felt sympathy at all for the patient or what the caregiver was going through. One of the nurses aide blurted out a racist remark, she was very rude!!! and wasn’t allow at our home. They are slow in responding. They stopped the nutrition on the patient and patient was still craving food. The patient had to go to hospital in order to get his feedings. It was so many unprofessional things with this, company it’s too much to write. However, I listed some so you will know about VNA. I discontinued using them and placed my loved one in another care. I do NOT recommend this (VNA) company at all for your love one’s care. All these are true facts.

VNA was there when we needed it most. It was a bumpy transition home from the hospital, but once we met our nurse Caleb, we knew we were in great hands. He, our chaplain Tay, and our social worker Joanne offered an unhurried, peaceful, and knowledgeable presence. Each of them spent extended time with us to answer questions and offer support; it felt like we were the only family on their caseload. The on call response was quick and when our loved one passed, the responding nurse Solomon was compassionate and calm. While no one wants to be in need for hospice, VNA offered everything my family needed to be able to spend our final time with our loved one without worry.

This organization is absolutely amazing! After my mother in law entered hospice care, VNA was available to us any time we needed them. Morning, noon, weekends or nights. Everyone we encountered was patient, kind, caring and compassionate. My mother in laws final days were very peaceful and lovely. A HUGE shout out to Aubrey, our nurse, who stayed as long as we needed her to, answered questions, showed compassion and who was just amazing overall! VNA helped us during a time when we would have otherwise been lost and were clueless about which direction to turn! They were truly a Godsend!
