Three Oaks Hospice - Sherman

Disappointed with Three Oaks & their integrity. As a full time caregiver Respite (in the Medicare handbook under Hospice) is something that is covered by Medicare along with the transportation to/from the facility. Three Oaks has advised that they would only cover the Respite stay but that I would have to pay for the transportation out of pocket. My question was WHY? Why would you put a family in that hardship, why pick & choose the dates you want to cover and what you want to cover; its not like its used every month but if it was needed why put your own guidelines now? We paid for it and then asked a couple of people WHY, and all I got was “well thats what they told me “ Who is “they” If you ask me thats not a response & thats not right. That is not a representation of what the company “sold” or “presented” which was/is misleading.

From the moment I first contacted Three Oaks Hospice, the care my grandmother received was nothing short of exceptional. They acted quickly to get her started with services and went above and beyond to ensure her comfort from day one. Navigating this stage of life is never easy, for the patient or the family, but Three Oaks made it more manageable for all of us. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind, compassionate, and respectful. All of the supplies/medication was promptly ordered and delivered straight to her, and their communication has been outstanding every step of the way. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand how busy things can get, but this team always made time for my grandmother. She has nothing but good things to say about everyone involved in her care, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the support they’ve provided during such a difficult time. Highly recommend.

Staff is genuinely compassionate about their patients. The process was easy and quick to start services. We love our Nurse and Social Worker.
