We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care the inpatient hospice team provided to our dad during one of the hardest times in our lives. Every nurse, aide, and staff member treated him with dignity, comfort, and kindness while also supporting our family with patience and understanding. Their compassion brought us peace during such a difficult journey. We highly recommend them to anyone needing hospice care for a loved one. Thank you for everything you did for our family.

I picked this place based on the reviews and I was very disappointed My mother was brought in there in the last day that she was there we were up there with her a horrible rude lack of empathy nurse named Lisa came in and was checking her vitals and was telling us that she had good vitals good blood pressure My mother's color was good so I started to ask questions since I wasn't in the medical field about the possibility of why she would be doing so well given her prognosis and I guess the nurse felt like she was being questioned and that she shouldn't be questioned because her words to me were well you know you can remove her from hospice anytime you want and you can take her to the hospital but they won't take her. That had to be the most unloving rude thing that you could say to somebody who is literally watching their mother die and only had a simple couple simple questions based on the information that you were telling them she is a horrible excuse for a nurse and when I complain to the doctor she said there was nothing that she could do about it that she's not in charge of personnel. My mom passed that evening but I will say that my experience with this place if I could pick less than a one I would and after my experience with this place among other things that happened I have informed my husband that he has never to take me to a hospice facility You want to do hospice at home with your family at least you're there to watch them all the time and you have more control over the medications they're getting.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Hospice of East Texas...my father was put in hospice during the final days on this earth and God opened the door for him to be placed in this facility. The staff was so caring and took such good care of him. If your loved one is placed in this facility, you and your family are extremely blessed and we thank God every day that he spent his last days in such good care, comfortable and at peace 🕊️
