Tender Care Home Health & Hospice

Extremely poor experience with home health and hospice care for my mother. SOC and OT evaluations were maybe around 10 minutes, which is legally unacceptable. When hospice was needed, I had to personally find and obtain physician orders for hospice admission, even though this was the agency’s responsibility and they had seen my mother at the hospital the day before. When my mother was actively passing, no nurse showed up, and the nurse who pronounced her death arrived three hours later. Staff also took personal medical folders and improperly disposed of medications. A week after I couldn’t get my mom’s death certificate. I called the Director of Nursing multiple times, and she did not have the decency to return my calls. Very distressing experience. I do not recommend this agency.

This was my third experience with Tender Care. The nurse, Kimberly and Physical Therapist, Jack were outstanding. Thank you folks of Tender Care.

I’m a physician, and Tender Care Home Care and Hospice exceeded my expectations. My mother was in the final stage of dementia, and we needed a hospice team that was both clinically solid and deeply compassionate. After speaking with other agencies, Tender Care was the most thorough, most responsive, and most hands-on. They answered questions patiently, moved quickly on paperwork, and helped guide us from memory care to a private senior home that was a much better environment for my mother. In her final months, Tender Care gave her dignity, compassion, and comfort and gave our family support when we needed it most. I will always be grateful.
