Suncrest Hospice San Antonio

Suncrest Hospice has been a godsend. We started with Suncrest in May of this year. It was a challenge taking on the care for both of my parents under Hospice, but Suncrest has made it a lot manageable. The care from each staff member is superb from our social worker, our CNA, and our nurses. Each member treated my mom and dad with kindness and compassion allowing them to maintain their dignity. After a very difficult decision we had to move my parents and the move although tough went as seamless as possible. My mom passed away in June. The nurses were there not only for her, but for us. Although difficult we were able to get through it with their help. The continued care they provide my dad is wonderful, especially his CNA Patty, who’s been with him for several months. Patty always arrives with a smile on her face and keeps him looking his best. I could go on but bottom line is that Suncrest has been wonderful to us.

When my 90 year old mother was discharged from the hospital, the Suncrest intake team was there to smoothly transition her to home hospice care. All of the medical equipment was in her home when we arrived. Throughout the very difficult process over the ensuing weeks, the Suncrest team of health professionals were simply outstanding. The nurses, CNAs, Social worker, chaplains, music therapist, massage therapist--to a person, all were professional, kind and sincerely compassionate. We are deeply grateful to the entire team who helped us care for our mother through this extremely arduous and emotional process. I highly recommend Suncrest should you ever require hospice services for your loved one.

As a nurse manager in skilled nursing facilities that utilize Suncrest I have been extremely impressed with the care that Suncrest staff has with the residents on their services and even the residents not on their services. They visit their residents almost daily, and then help out with activity departments for all the other residents. Kim Wald has been exceptional at communication and always has the residents close to her heart.
