Poor management decisions regarding nursing staff!

My daughters and I had to put their father on hospice, aftera 4 month fight for his life. It was a very difficult decision. I feel like Elara did everything right. I have a lot of experience in hospice as a case manager and team director in the past. So I definitely knew the quality of care that should be given in these situations. They surpassed that. Their professionalism was remarkable, and the way that they explain services and spoke to my daughters and myself and his mother was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond and even when we had a very unprofessional staff member that did not work for Elara treat us poorly at the IPU, Elara stepped up and made the transition continue to be a safe place for my young daughters. I would highly recommend this hospice company because they are personable and they communicate with the team members. They are not afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to the care their patients need. The Director was, and I can't remember her name, amazing!!! She met us at the IPU and did all she could to advocate for my girls father! Tommy Lee is definitely an expert in his field! He was very informative and knowledgeable. Ralph Ramos, Aida Martinez and many others went above and beyond. We are grateful for the care we have received so far. I would highly recommend this hospice company, and again I know this field and know what the minimum is, and what the maximum is.They did the maximum!
