I cannot say enough about the incredible support we received from Guiding Light Hospice. Navigating care for a loved one is overwhelming, but Jerry Martinez went above and beyond to guide me every step of the way. His professionalism is truly top-notch. He kept me informed with consistent updates, followed up without being asked, and made sure no question went unanswered. It’s clear Jerry genuinely loves what he does and deeply cares about both his patients and their families. That level of compassion makes all the difference during such a difficult time. A very special thank you to Dr. Gunaganti and Jerry for working well into the late night to ensure a smooth transition of my brother’s care. Their dedication and teamwork gave me complete confidence and comfort. Because of them, I have true peace of mind knowing my brother is in excellent hands. I am beyond grateful for their commitment, compassion, and integrity.

Being a volunteer with Guiding Light Hospice has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my life this year. What makes this organization so special is the people, especially Tammy Webb, the Volunteer Director. Tammy doesn’t just lead, she gives her whole heart to everything she does. She manages countless events, supports every volunteer and patient she comes across, and still makes each of us feel seen and valued. When I wanted to organize an environmental themed Bingo event at the WellMed center, Tammy didn’t even hesitate to help and support me. She went above and beyond to make it possible, and her support meant the world to me. Her assistant, Maria Garcia, is just as compassionate and dependable, always there with a kind word and helping hand. As a volunteer, I have had the opportunity to support patients and families, whether through companionship, creative activities, or simply just being present. These experiences have taught me compassion and patience, and a different perspective in ways I never expected. Guiding Light has helped me grow not just as a volunteer, but as a person. Guiding Light isn’t just a hospice—it's a family. I have seen firsthand how much love and sincerity they bring to their work, and I’m incredibly grateful to be a small part of it. Guiding Light will forever be in my memory as the best volunteer exprience I have ever had. Sincerely, Prince Salim
