My advice and the experience we had Do Not Choose this company
Thank you all for the compassion and support you showed our Momma the last few years. She was 97 and not in good health . Jessica thank you for the many times you called me so I could speak to Mom. To Mari, Javier, the social workers Thank you and Erica thank you for being there with us in the end when Momma and passed. We are forever grateful.
Absolutely love Greater Valley Hospice! Each person we came into contact with was phenomenal. We began with Armando, who was our first point of contact. He called me every month, then weekly, as we got closer to needing hospice due to my husband's leukemia. Once we needed to begin our hospice journey, Armando made sure it began smoothly. Next, we were issued a hospital bed and various medical equipment. The equipment representative patiently set up the bed and explained how each piece of equipment worked. Then we were visited by each member of our care team. First was Nurse Victoria. She performed the initial assessment (my husband was having a pretty good morning). Later that day, we were visited by 2 CNAs (Maria & Stephanie), who changed the bed linnens, bathed, shaved, and changed my husband. It was all done with kindness and compassion. The CNAs were able to come every day to help us. The next vister was Sylvia (supervisor) to see how everything was going. She was able to see how quickly my husband was deteriorating (from good one day to almost non-responsive the next day). She made a quick decision to escalate my husband's nurse visits to every day. We had Nurse Victoria, Nurse Maribel, and Nurse Michelle (who determined my husband's death). We were then visited by the social worker, Perla. She was awesome! She listened to my worries and concerns with understanding and compassion. She left me with some wonderful informative booklets. We were also visited by the chaplain, Nathaniel. He quoted scripture to my husband, played a beautiful worship song, prayed over my husband, and gave us great comfort. Each day, we had the 2 CNAs to clean my husband and a nurse to assess and deliver medicine and advice. We were visited ever so often by both the social worker and the chaplain. Even though my husband used the services provided by Greater Valley Hospice for only 10 days (he passed on the 10th day), they all were such a comfort to both my husband and me in our most darkest of times. They even contacted me during the weeks following my husband's passing to see how I was doing. Greater Valley Hospice is a wonderful company dedicated to helping you and your loved one go through the most difficult time of your life.
