Calidad Home Health

Run as fast as you can from Calidad. I initially called Amado Home Health. The two companies are related in some way because of Medicaid contracts. Nursing staff of Calidad are incompetent, insensitive, and I believe will be found negligent. The Nursing staff at Calidad ignored constant requests from staff at a care facility to provide comfort to my mother. After my mother's death the clergy assigned left a voice-mail referring to my mother as a man. I don't believe the clergy ever met my mother as he said. It was a very disturbing voice-mail. I will say Adrian was the only employee that appeared to be competent. Adrian was always available, coordinating resources, and trying to get the nurses to respond. Do not choose this company, heartbreaking.

I am a retired RN. My friend was recently placed on hospice under your care, or should I say lack of care. I am truly shocked and disappointed by the care he has received. The nurse has been here once!! So glad that I was able to be here for my friend. The aide came twice for 10-15 minutes, once to give him a shower, once for a bed bath. Calls to the nurse WERE NEVER RETURNED!!! The answering service had the on call nurse call who said she would have Dennis' nurse call but Nora never called. Today is day 6 since stopping dialysis and he is beginning to feel the affects from it. Hospice could be helping to ease his discomfort but alas the nurse hasn't come to assess him in almost a week and no medications have been brought to give to him. This is the crappy care I personally have witnessed. I am staying to support my friend and his wife. Don't go with this company if you have a choice. I have had hospice care for both of my parents so I know what it should look like. Calidad you have failed your mission to provide compassionate care at end of life.

Professionalism was clearly not a core value at Calidad Home Health. The supervisor's unprofessionalism and blatant attitude was showing the agency's true colors. Staff morale seems to be affected by the lack of accountability and poor leadership. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a reputable agency.
