Gentiva - Abilene

My dad was in in home hospice care with Gentiva for a year and I truly don't have enough vocabulary to express the amazing care that he received. His nurse Brittoni was so incredibly thoughtful, proactive and patient with him. She communicated with us and always kept us abreast of the care he was receiving. His aid Sarah became family and Papa loved her like she was his own daughter. Bruce the chaplain sat and visited with him for long stretches of time talking about his faith and my papa loved nothing more than to talk to people about his love for Jesus. They were magnificent and it gave us so much peace in knowing he was being cared for by a team that was knowledgeable, available and incredibly compassionate. When he passed in June they were so very compassionate toward us. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent care for someone that they love. To the group at Gentiva, thank you for loving my papa so well. We grew to love each and every one of you. Blessings as you serve others.

From the moment my Grandmother started her hospice journey, the wonderful staff at Gentiva has been there every step of the way. Whether its the the Liaison Alex, the nurses, the admin, or the Chaplain Mr.Bruce, they never allowed myself or my family members to feel like we were doing this alone. When my Mom needed additional care, I reached out to Gentiva Hospice. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The entire Gentiva Team is nothing short of exemplary! Angelica is CNA of the year in our books, and Ashley, the nurse, is too. They are dedicated, competent and compassionate health care professionals. The administration is rock solid, honest and transparent. Thanks to Gentiva my Mom is getting stronger every day.
