Enhabit Hospice provided excellent care for my grandmother. The nurses and CNAs were compassionate, easy to reach, and helped us to understand what she was experiencing. The Nurse Practitioner was also outstanding!
Too much to inform you of, so I will leave you with this. First impression was great by everyone. For the week that I had my mother at home, only 3 were genuine. Roz, who cared for her hygiene, was phenomenal. Loving, caring and offered advice on how to do things on the days she wasn’t there. Bobbie, the on call nurse for my Moms final days, wonderful. She armed me with more knowledge than her actual in home Nurse Sam did. Matthew, the RN who came out when my Mom passed, and to collect her medication, very nice, supportive, and waited with class the entire hour and 45 min for the Funeral Home. It was the coldest night here, sleet etc..they had to be safe coming for Mom. I will say after my mother passed no one has called me, reached out to me, or anything. I had to reach out to them with questions two days after my mother passed. The medical supply store showed up the day after she passed, no phone call no nothing, just out of the blue hey we’re here for the equipment. I feel to some, my mother was just someone they got paid to look after, and sign up for services. To the 3 mentioned above, she was a wonderful woman who deserved to be treated as such. Last impression. I’m grateful for the 3, but wished I hadn’t made such an important decision in such a quick amount of time. I wish I would have been given the option to do research, and call around myself. I was told I had 2 months with my mother, but a few hours to pick a hospice service. I ended up with 6 1/2 days with my Mom. If you have time, call around and check with different services until your heart is sure.
