Concord Health 5 stars is NOT enough... Please do your homework!!!!Just because the local hospital houses a particular hospice group, does not mean they are the right choice. Our elderly father in law was offered hospice for our mother in law. They immediately suggested themselves. All the while,he didn't even understand what was happening. He was stressed and struggling to accept what the future was handing him. Since they are housed at the hospital. They promoted themselves.If not promoting ones own company (then you show them a list of choices not we suggest .... This one * their company*)We had a terrible experience with this group. They were rude and 0 compassion. It felt as though they did not read her file nor did not seem to know about her condition. As the nurse suggested raising the medication but we had to let her know it was already at that dosage. Her condition was critical but the nurses did not seem to know that. We decided after a very nasty comment made by the evening nurse was made to our family, that enough was enough. We decided to obtain another hospice company. We were so impressed with Concord from the beginning. The level of care, listening to our concerns and their compassion was above anything we had previously experienced. They showed up on schedule, answered immediately when called, answered our questions but most importantly showed empathy and care to everyone in our home. We were struggling to accept we were losing the matriarch of our family. Words will never express the gratitude We have for Concord. Sheila, Kelli, KK, Tamis and Dr Watson your help during our time of need and after our loss will forever be in our hearts and minds. Thank you for caring for our mother - mother in law - nanaw and friend. You are heros with out capes. Keep fighting the good fight it does not go unnoticed. Sincerely the Slaughter Family.
These people have a great heart. They help me with my wife passing. Chaplain Kevin help with the Family Service. He gave most touching eulogy of my wife life.
