I can not express how wonderful this group of caring loving people have cared for our family during Roberts illness. Ingrid and Isabel are beyond measure fantastic then Avery and Natalie stole our hearts too. I will recommend this team of loving caring people caring for a loved one. They are top best number 1 in the Humphrey house. Thank you ladies. I just love you all. May God continue to bless all of you. Robert loved his cute nurses
My father suffered from dementia, and required continuous care in the last chapter of his life. My family turned to BlueStar Hospice after consulting with my father’s personal physician. BlueStar Hospice provided comprehensive palliative care for my father, first at his own home and then at a personal care home. The caregivers were genuinely interested in my father’s well-being, and communicated clearly and efficiently with us. BlueStar’s services were all-encompassing, including medications, durable medical equipment, medical transportation and nursing. The staff also provided support to the family, guiding us through this transition. The staff took care of my father, and of my family, for which I remain humbly grateful. To Penny, Juliann, Lynn, Betsy, Selena and all the others whose names I’ve forgotten - Thank you.
Having a parent or loved one moved into hospice care is often a difficult time for everyone as their responsibility is to care for your loved one and help to keep them comfortable in their last stages. My sister and I moved our mother back home and into hospice care with Blue Star Hospice at the end of August. She had fought a long battle with dementia and we were referred to Blue Star Hospice by a colleague of my sister. The staff at Blue Star Hospice was a GOD send. They were caring, patient, attentive to my mother's needs, available to answer all of the questions that my sister and I had no matter how small, and provided us with a level of comfort that is BEYOND 5 stars. If I could give them 100 stars I would! While my mother has passed, I will forever be grateful for the entire staff at Blue Star Hospice. Jennifer was our coordinator that we initially met with. Her smile and patience in explaining the process was immeasurable. Chaplain John visited and prayed with our family and at my mother's bedside. He even checked on my family after my mother's passing to offer his condolences and to let us know that they are still available to us if we need them for the next 12, (or 13) months. All of the nurses, (Natalie, Stacie, Amanda), our social worker Juliann... EVERYONE were exceptional in their care and concern. We couldn't have been blessed with a better team to assist us in the last days with my mom before she earned her wings. If you ever have to consider hospice for a loved one, please be assured that Blue Star Hospice and their staff will do everything in their power to bring comfort and care for your loved one. And no.... I was not paid for this review and no one contacted me and asked me to leave a review. This is my own heartfelt opinion from first hand experience.
