I had the privilege of acquaintance of Our Sacred Heart Hospice in 2023. I was at a point of desperation due to the task in caring for my 97 year old Aunt since 2015. My Aunt deserved the best care and I requested Dr.Joshua Batencourt, my aunt's primary doctor, to refer my Aunt to needed wound care and , if possible, Hospice care. Dr.Batencourt, assured me that my Aunt would receive both wound care and Hospice care immediately. I was relieved upon the decision due to feeling overwhelmed at that time. RN Leo Batencourt called the next day and came over to meet my Aunt and myself. Leo informed us of the treatment plan and schedule of staff who would attend to my Aunt. Leo was always professional and kept me informed as to what to look for in symptoms that could be detrimental. I can't thank Sacred Heart, Dr.Batencourt, RN Leo, and all the staff of Our Sared Heart Hospice, for all the care and love they administered and demonstrated for my loving Aunt Carmen. It takes a Special person to look beyond the inevitable and demonstrate continued care and love to make a patient feel comfortable, and in loving care. Thank you for all you do !! Edward Gamboa
