New Beginnings Hospice

I highly recommend New Beginnings Hospice! My family has been working with them for close to one and a half years and the care and attention given to my mother has been exemplary! My mother had a significant health issue that was difficult for the staff at her assisted living facility to address effectively. The staff at the facility recommended using a hospice company in addition to the care given at their facility. After researching a few companies, I was impressed with the compassion and knowledge of New Beginnings Hospice’s director. I always feel satisfied that my questions were answered and my concerns were validated and would be positively addressed. It was also great to know that Michelle Flores, the CNP who Mom saw at assisted living, was on staff at New Beginnings! Michelle continues to give my mother great care and checks in with her frequently. I have been very impressed with all of the care staff who treat my mother with great respect and love. My mother, who worked as a registered nurse for 44 years, truly appreciates all that is done for her physical needs as well as her emotional needs. Nurses Kecia, Stephanie, and Barbara engage my mother in medical conversations which my mother appreciates! Their attention to detail and medical skills are incredible and very much appreciated! I also appreciate timely updates. They have been excellent advocates for Mom’s needs to the assisted living and Valeo staff. Mom loves the pampering that Fatima provides her three times a week with showering and preparing Mom for the day. Fatima calls or texts updates when needed which I truly appreciate! Visits from the social worker, Emmy, and the chaplain, Deanna, brighten my mother’s day! They are very encouraging to me as well! I always enjoy seeing them and speaking with them! It is encouraging to know that hospice is not exclusive to end of life care, which I recently discovered. The staff at New Beginnings Hospice truly appears to enjoy their work in serving their clients and their family!! I am very glad that our family has chosen New Beginnings!

Not having ever used a hospice company, I was not sure who to choose so the doctor at Christus Santa Rosa suggested I try New Beginnings. I did and their response was quick. The necessary medical equipment that my wife would need was delivered within two hours and set up in the house when she arrived. The RN made a visit right after that to check my wife. The LVN also stopped by for her initial visit. Arrangements for the nurse and aide visits were established on that first visit. From then on, the care she received was excellent. Every person that attended to my wife was compassionate and professional. For 21 days she received care that I would rate as excellent. The company also has a social worker on staff as well as a chaplain. They are very polite, compassionate, and attentive. I felt totally at ease with everyone that served us. If they keep up this approach with their patients, they will become the go to hospice in this area. All were Christ loving women. They get a five star rating from me. Follow up: verify that the same nurses, chaplain, social worker, and aides are still employed there that tended to my wife in April and May of 2025. I heard through a friend that they had all resigned. The replacements may be just as caring but not having worked with them, I cannot vouch for the same level of care my wife received at her time of need.

We were struggling to get hospice care for my father-in-law through our insurance (UHC) and PCP (Health 210). His condition was worsening quickly, and it was a Friday night with no help in sight. A family friend recommended New Beginnings Hospice, and calling them was the best decision we made. We reached out Saturday morning, and they responded immediately. Nurse Stephanie called us right away and even visited that same evening. His care started the very same day, and by the next morning they had arranged a hospital bed, equipment, and medications. Their whole team — nurses, aides, and doctors — was incredibly prompt and always available, despite being a small organization. What stood out most was how understanding, culturally sensitive, and compassionate they were. They recognized early that my father-in-law was nearing the end and gently prepared us for what to expect. Thanks to their support, he passed away peacefully after four days, surrounded by family and with dignity. If you’ve heard negative stories about hospice, please know that New Beginnings Hospice is different. They truly care, they guide you every step of the way, and they show up when you need them the most. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend them.
