Jol Healthcare serves Central Texas families with a commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care that honors diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions, recognizing that meaningful end-of-life experiences look different across cultures. Their team includes staff from various cultural backgrounds and language capabilities, enabling them to provide care that respects cultural preferences and communication styles. The organization understands that cultural considerations extend beyond language to include food preferences, religious practices, family decision-making structures, and views on death and dying that vary significantly across communities. Jol Healthcare's approach appeals to families seeking providers who understand and respect their cultural traditions, rather than imposing mainstream American healthcare approaches that may not fit their values. Their commitment to cultural competency means they invest in staff training, community relationships, and care approaches that honor diversity rather than treating everyone the same.

There is a "nurse" that does not speak English and will not show her badge she has said that her name is: Vivian, Bivi, and Bevan. She shows up WITHOUT giving any notice let alone the 24hr notice I was told we are to have. We also asked that NO NURSES COME ON THURSDAY UNLESS THEY HAVE CONFIRMED IT'S OK as I work from home and have meetings on Thursdays. She showed up AGAIN on a Thursday, my husband was at work, I am in meetings. She starts banging on my door, goes around to my elderly father in laws window, beats on his window, back at my door, I have to leave my meeting as now my husband's is calling saying she wants him to come home and open the door cause it's locked. Which she shouldn't know cause NONE of that is professional. Then I let her in and ask her "Did you give a 24hr notice?" And ask: "Why are you here on a Thursday? This is the second time you have come on a Thursday when asked not to." She then LIES to my face and says I spoke to your husband. She called my husband from our driveway, that is NOT a 24hr notice. She then is here for wound care by had changed the patient cath every time she comes even tho the urologist said it's fine for 30 days to be changed in his office unless there is a pertinent issue as changing it cause bacteria to get in which caused infection and after she changed it the first time from a random catheter she got out of her car and walked all our side from the car, all the way to the home, and to the patient guess what, he ended up with an infection. The other nurses seem to be great and we asked for this lady to not come out of she can't follow protocol, dr orders, or show professionalism.
JOL has been a great help and a blessing. The team, which includes an impressive array of disciplines, has been wonderfully supportive. I would highly recommed JOL to anyone whose loved one who needs health care for themselves or a loved one.
Joy of Life was amazing and made the passing of my grandmother as easy as possible. The nurses, Metta and Courtney, were wonderful, knowledgeable, and so very caring. They walked us through every step and we are so grateful. The CNA, Dakota, was gentle and kind and we could not have asked for a better team to help us through this. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
