Called in today to ask about my Moms, due to Sibs have full control, POA, and I freaked out about hospice so they won't let me see her! And I could not even get an update from the cold receptionist at Hospice El Paso, as to my Mother's well being! I WAS LETTING THIS UNEMPATHETIC BEAST KNOW HOW I need to know, being her oldest child and she cut me off with she did not care to hear my sob story!! I can only image how they are treating my Moms if this is their front person!! She could at least say I'm sorry for what your going thru but no!!
I cannot thank Hospice El Paso for the care given my son. By Nov '23 my son had been battling cancer for 4 and a half years. He was terribly sick and was i. The ICU at Beaumont AMC. He wanted to go home. The only way possible was via hospice. The thought scared us to the core. Sammy and the team came by that morning. What a beautiful experience it was. They put us at ease. Once home, his nurse Keke came to visit and watch over him while I ran errands. His health improved. He was able to still get chemo. His use of supplemental oxygen became less and less. My son lived 9 months more than the three days he was expected to. Hospice was there when we needed them. Hats off to everyone; Letty, Susie, Keke, Hailey, Mike, and many many more behind the scenes.
This has been the most difficult thing I have done in my life, 39 years with the Army and combat was easier than this process. Sammy and the Team were...and are exceptional, they helped me take care of my Mom and provided me and my Mom the support she needed to go to Heaven. It was a horrible time for me but their professionalism, commitment to my Mom, her care, the Chaplain and of course the Nurses are the best I have seen in my life. Thank you Sammy and all for blessing my Mom's transition to Heaven! God bless you all and whoever reads this please help them and donate plus call Sammy if you need help, he will work the problem and make everyone's life better.
