A huge shout out to Nurse Brenda from the Victoria office. I moved my Mom from Port Lavaca to Corpus Christi back in June of 2024. At that time she had been seeing Brenda on a regular basis for Hospice palliative care. She was doing so good, so Brenda said "we are going to discharge her, but when the day comes you feel she needs us, we're just a phone call away". On Nov 30, 2025, my Mamita suffered a massive heart attack and I was told by the Dr that she would not recover from this. She was already a DNR and she wanted to come home to die. I really thought it would be a long shot, but I decided to call Brenda and tell her our situation. Brenda's response to me was "yes, let me get that ball rolling", and, that she did. She immediately notified the Corpus Christi office to advise them of our request for Mom's last wishes. Ruby Acuna, the Admission Coordinator for Corpus Christi came to the Hospital shortly after to admit Mom. I was advised that there was a shortage of Morphine, but she was going to make a call to some nurses to see if she could get round some up so I could take Mom home. She was successful in doing so, and shortly after, an ambulance was on their way to our home with Mom. My Mamita passed away approximately 20 minutes after arriving home, in "her" room, in "her" chair surrounded by we, her children, her DIL's, her SIL, her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren exactly how she would have wanted. I can not express my gratitude enough to Brenda, Harbor Hospice of Victoria, and to all of the crew from Harbor Hospice of Corpus Christi for making this happen in such a short period of time for, now, our "Angel" ❤️❤️❤️ XOXO and forever grateful, Esther Janecek and Family

I am very happy with the level of service and care Harbor Hospice provides the community. The kindness and professionalism are superior. Samantha Bell always has gone above and beyond and it is so appreciated. She is a fine representation of this agency.
