Harbor Hospice - Portland

My beautifu,l wonderful, intelligent, charitable, sweet wife, and founder of Peewees Pet Adoption Erenestina Ezeta Cochran, Who I loved with every inch of my heart and soul was taken most excellent care of at this well thought out facility. She was treated with respect, dignity and the love that she deserved before leaving this world, that she loved and left a better place than she found it. She arrived in a coma after a hard fought illness. I was able to stay by her bed side, sleep in a comfortable fold out couch bed, that the staff supplied sheets, pillows and blankets for, and have famly and loved ones visit with us and bring food and prepare it in the facility's convenient kitchen, dining room with complimentary coffie, hot chocolate ice maker, oven , microwave and community refegerator. I was able to take a long hot refreshing shower in one of the well designed gest bathrooms with provided clean towels and privacy with well designed shower stall that made me feel refreshed and comfortable. There is a nice lobby at the entrance and combination conference entertainment room as well. Clergy, was provided and a concealer provided list of funeral homes which made her passing less painful as I only had to chose one, and they took care of the rest, which aloud me to spend unrushd time with my sweetheart of 45 years after she had passed. My compliments to the staff for making the hardest decisions and time of my life a little bit easier. I would highly recommend to anyone going through this end of life journey. And I would like to thank the entire staff. Ernie, you will live in my ❤️ heart the rest of my life.

I just have to speak out about Harbor Palliative and Hospice employees. I cannot imagine, nor have I encountered, more compassionate and talented caregivers than Harbor. We have had nurses and CNA’s coming to the house and they have been so kind and attentive to my mom. They also care so much that they will not allow your loved one to be treated anyway but the best. Unfortunately, I know this firsthand. They also have an IPU facility that keeps you from having to send your loved one back to a hospital to be kept awake with unnecessary tests and poking. Every single person from the door entrance to the ones who clean and bring your meals are absolutely amazing!!!! I am so torn on giving you names to make them known, but my list is so long!! Everyone meet our needs so well and always have smiles on their faces!!! I feel like whoever hires the staff has done an amazing job! Each staff I have encountered represents the company well! As you can tell, I HIGHLY recommend Harbor!!

Carmen, Mirthala, and Jessica cared for my husband during his last time here on earth. They are angels sent from above to ease the transition. They were so compassionate and caring for our family as well. The facility is wonderful, so peaceful and clean and nice. Pastor Matthew was there for us also. i can't thank you enough for the great care you gave us all. YOU ARE THE BEST
