Care was okay until the end.. They let our family down when the time of need was the most important. The nurse Robin made the entire end of life process so difficult and argued with me in front of my grandmother while she was transitioning to end of life and in pain because she didn’t want to provide comfort care to her and kept pushing for her to take an antibiotic that made her throw up & uncomfortable. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong by standing up for my grandmother and saying no more because I couldn’t stand to watch her struggle like that that. I know hospice and I knew my grandmother was transitioning to pass soon but she argued and argued with me. To this day it still upsets me that my grandmother had to experience that. My grandmother passed the very next day after that happened. The CNA was great, but not reliable either. Not sure if that was due to not being scheduled or if she didn’t want to come because my grandmother lived “so far out of the way” in Jefferson, which is what many of their care team would tell our family when they came to see my grandmother at home. The administrator Marcus was great and he tried to help, but there was only so much he could do so we had to switch to a different company to ensure she received the appropriate comfort care she needed when it mattered the most. Very disappointing because that is definitely NOT something you want to have to do at that time. There are so many hospices that can give you exceptional care and but I hate to say this one isn’t it.
Shakera is absolutely amazing! She’s very gentle and kind. She’s very soft spoken and thorough.
November 21,2023 the on call nurse was rude, when my sister hand me phone, I was trying to find out what what going on with situation. The nurse didn't have me rude to me. I found it very unprofessional. I know need to talk to EMT. No reason to act that way. Very disappointed in the service.
