About Gilead Hospice
Gilead Hospice serves Central Texas families with a focus on providing compassionate, personalized care that honors each patient's unique journey and family's individual needs, recognizing that meaningful end-of-life experiences look different for everyone. Their team takes time to understand not just medical conditions but personal values, cultural backgrounds, and family dynamics that should shape care planning, creating truly individualized approaches. The organization emphasizes building genuine relationships with patients and families rather than treating them as cases, recognizing that trust and connection enhance the care experience during life's most vulnerable moments. Gilead's approach appeals to families seeking a more personal, less corporate experience, where they feel known and valued rather than processed through standardized systems. Their commitment to personalized care means they're willing to adapt services, schedules, and approaches to fit what works best for each unique situation.

What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
Nurse Liz L does an excellent job she is very caring, professional, and kind. She comes to see me once a week and I always look forward to seeing her. She is prompt, knowledgeable, and is a wonderful nurse.
Could not have been more blessed to work with the team from Gilead. We got to spend time with their nurse, nursing director, their Deacon, and nurse aid. Each were so very caring, kind, and knowledgable. End of life care is such a complex thing, and requires such individualized care and support and we never lacked this. Communication was always fast and respectful. When my mother passed there was such comfort and care as well. Highly recommended, especially for such a delicate and complex time. Candice, Lara, Deacon Glenn, and Sandy are an AMAZING team and I will always recommend Gilead Hospice as long as they are on the team!
My nurse Leo takes excellent care of me! I suffer from a number of disabilities and he goes above and beyond just like taking care of his own family! He calls his patients when they are sick or in the hospital to ensure you don’t need anything! Highly Recommend!

Other important resources for families
Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
