I am deeply frustrated with the care my uncle received at this hospice. He was left in filthy conditions, and staff did not properly attend to his hygiene. There were multiple instances where he was left sitting in his own waste for extended periods, which is completely unacceptable. After his passing, the staff also failed to promptly remove his body, which added to the emotional distress during an already difficult time. I would never recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for compassionate and respectful end-of-life care. My family and I are devastated by the neglect we witnessed, and I hope no one else has to endure the same experience.
The Gentiva team took excellent care of my mother in her nursing home during her final months. We didn’t know when she would be passing, but after an unnecessary hospitalization, her doctor recommended hospice care so that future health crises could be handled better. The Gentiva team communicated with me regularly (I live 1500 miles away). They were great at dealing with my irascible mother who could make life difficult for her caregivers. And they called me when it was apparent that the end was near. I’m very grateful to them for their care and kindness.
The absolute best! Everyone was wonderful and treated each member of our family with dignity and honor. They went above and beyond to support, intervene and listen to our concerns and our requests about my father. Twila began the process for us and the nurses were all very caring and responsive. We didn't feel alone, and we felt supported throughout. Thank you all so much.
