Elara Caring - New Braunfels

Elara hospice is one of the best hospice providers around! I have worked in LTC setting for 4-5 years and Elara has been my go to since I first encountered them. Everyone on the team is so kind, warm, welcoming, and always puts the patient first. This team truly knows how to work together to make hospice transition as easy as possible, and that is coming from a healthcare worker perspective as well as from a family members perspective. Jess is an amazing asset to the company, she does such a great job at bringing everyone together and always brings a smile to everyone that she meets. I love to see her when she comes to visit our patients. All of the nurses and CNAs are amazing, they are compassionate and love to provide education to not only families but staff as well. I cannot say enough good things about this team, they have a special place in my heart!

I want to thank Elara Caring for having such kind compassionate nurses, aides and social worker on their team. We completely trust and appreciate the care my mother receives from them. My mother's nurse Brook keeps us updated and informed of any changes, all medications and care to keep my mom comfortable during this stage of her life. The other nurses that I would like to give appreciation to are, Tracy, Lindsay, and Kayla(I don't think she's there anymore), if I have forgotten anyone, just know they are all very caring. Delaney is my mom's aide, for bathing, ordering her supplies and being her friend. When we first met Delaney, we nicknamed her"Our Ray of Sunshine ". I want to thank all you ladies and Elara Caring for blessing us with all of you. More like family.

My mom had Elara Caring for only a short time. During that time she received exceptional quality of care. The nurses, social worker, Chaplin and support staff were amazing. Chaplin Jon volunteered to officiate the funeral after learning I was in need of a minister. He captured her very essence as if he had known her all her life. We are very grateful for him. My mom’s nurse, Brooke has been amazing. She is truly an angel on earth. I have never met a better person. She goes above and beyond, and truly cares about her patients, and helped our family navigate through this difficult time. She was there countless hours the night and morning leading up to my mom’s passing. The night before she passed Brooke was at her bedside. My mom briefly opened her eyes saw Brooke and with a big smile said “Brooke” then closed her eyes for the last time. She was finally at peace. Brooke called everyday to check on us for weeks. We invited her to the funeral. She was a great comfort for us there as well. She is part of the family now and we are forever grateful for her.
