ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! You won’t find a better or more caring/attentive/efficient home health & hospice company. The employees have compassion, empathy and truly care about their patients which is extremely hard to find these days. Being a caregiver is an extremely difficult job and when you meet people with the above assets you stick with them. I used them first for palliative care for 2 years for my disabled ex-husband while he was in assisted living. They provided shower aide 2x week, PT 2x week and a nurse 1x a week or every other week (I’m not exactly sure about that) and if I wanted OT they would’ve provided that as well. I have spoken with people in the office numerous times. If I needed anything they were extremely helpful! I am now using their home health for myself. I broke my kneecap and had surgery in December. I’ve had a shower aide 2x a week and a nurse 1x a week and when I was released from surgeon a couple of weeks ago my PT started and I see him 2x a week. You won’t be sorry using this company for you or your loved ones needs so I certainly wouldn’t pass your opportunity up!
First and foremost, my rating has nothing to do with the therapist 's who work for Cedar Lake, they are all great. The low rating is due to the main office accepting a patient whose insurance was not in network. They did the initial intake the week of Sept 22, 2025, and started in home therapy the week of Sept 29, 2025. I was advised by them on October 13th my insurance company called them to inform they were not in network. I was also told by the person I spoke with at Cedar Lake it was a mistake on their part, and they would not discharge the patient until they found another service in network. I did not hear back and called them on October 14th and was then told the patient was being discharged October 16th and they emailed me a list of Home Health Services that are in Network. The patient is post-stroke and needs OT, PT, Speech, nursing and CNA. Here we are with no therapies because of a bad mistake Cedar Lake made. This is not good, and I feel they should have stuck to what I was told to begin with, stating they would not discharge until they found another service. This is very frustrating and disappointing.
The Parkinson’s Plus class, and instructor Caren Anthony, are life changing. I have never been much for exercise, or classes, or social groups. But this class has not only been physically beneficial, it has been fun. I never miss it. I have Parkinson’s and significant balance and mobility issues. Both my family and I see real progress every week. The socialization with other seniors has been really good for me, and I am very fortunate to have Caren as the instructor. She challenges me and as a result I have achieved more than I could have imagined. My confidence is high, my attitude is good, and I thank Caren for that. If you have enough interest to be reading this review… you should be in this class.
