This is a POS company. Call for help for an emergency and don't get a call back for hours. They won't check injuries due to falls. Just wrapped them up and forget about them. When they say they'll get you some kind of equipment it doesn't work half the time and they won't replace it. If you want your loved one to have the proper care DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.
My Mom was on palliative care for over 3 years and end of life care for several weeks. The BSA Hospice team that took care of her were amazing. The nurses and chaplain were compassionate, kind and caring, not only to my Mom, but to her family, too. They took wonderful care of all of us. We are so grateful to Dawn and Linda for checking in on her all the time. We appreciate Lindsey and Ed taking us to appointments when needed. I know there were many more caregivers if only I could remember their names. I appreciate all of them more than words can say.
The care had been mediocre for the most part for day to day services, but the actual support we received was non existent and the handling of my loved one’s care at the end of their life was done with no compassion. If you’re in the Amarillo area, try AccentCare or Enhabit for your loved ones needs, and if you’re not sure if you’re receiving the care you should be or not, you CAN switch companies. If you’ve never dealt with hospice care services before and you’re currently with BSA hospice and unsure if the care you’re receiving is on point with what it should be, chances are it absolutely is not.
