Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care - Bastrop

Our family has had a truly wonderful experience with Aspen Hospice, and I want to especially recognize RN Jacob for the incredible care he provides. From the moment he walks into the room, his positive energy and calm presence immediately put everyone at ease. Jacob’s bedside manner is exceptional. He takes the time to listen, speak with kindness, and make sure my uncle feels comfortable, respected, and cared for. During a time that can be very difficult for families, Jacob brings compassion, patience, and genuine warmth that make a world of difference. My uncle looks forward to his visits, and it’s clear how much Jacob truly cares about the people he helps. His ability to lift spirits while still providing attentive, professional care is something very special. We are deeply grateful to Aspen Hospice for having such an outstanding nurse on their team. Jacob has brought tremendous comfort to my uncle and peace of mind to our family, and we cannot thank him enough.

Rayna has been a breath of fresh air in a difficult situation. She takes the time to calm, console and give the family great advice how to make our mom more comfortable and relaxed. She will take the time to answer any of your questions. She never makes mom feel like she is a burden. Jacob often fills in for Rayna and he is also so kind and compassionate! He always makes my mom feel as ease! It’s reassuring that Jacob cares for my mom as much as I do. Kimberly R took the time to explain what to expect when our mom was admitted into hospice care. No one is ever prepared for this and the timing is never perfect . But Kim had patience, tissues and kinds words to make us comfortable that we were making the correct decision for our mom. Chely always allows Mom to keep her dignity and carries on conversations to keep her comfortable. She is always willing to give a hand and understands sometimes mom isn’t feeling herself. Rayna, Jacob, Kim and Chely have become like family to us! We have never regretted the decision to go with Aspen and would recommend them 100%!

My mom (Elaine) is very independent and it was tough for us to sign her up for hospice. She doesn’t always welcome change but she took right to Rayna . Rayna was kind and understood the struggles mom was overcoming. When Rayna knew Mom was having a tough day, she would calm her down talking about playing cards or breakfast . Rayna always gives mom her dignity and respect she deserves Jacob is always so helpful when he comes for a visit. He is always willing to go the extra mile, take his time, and be truly present while providing care for my mom. I can tell he is dedicated to the well being of my mom! Kimberly Roberts was a wealth of knowledge about the pros of hospice and what should be done to make sure mom was well taken care of during her illness. When we had follow up questions, Kim didn’t hesitate to help us. Chely is the CNA that has the kindest demeanor and always willing to help with anything. Chely always has a smile on her face.
