My sister and father recently called in hospice care for my mother. While I wasn't "the arranger" of the care, I was there during multiple visits from nurses and social workers. We were very impressed with *every* person we dealt with from Amedisys. I would recommend them in you're in the area.

Last year, a friend of mine had to make the difficult decision to transition to hospice care after many months of cancer treatments. After talking with several hospice care teams, she and her husband decided that Amedisys would be the best fit to provide the physical, spiritual, and emotional support they were needing. The Amedisys intake team was supportive, caring, and immediately connected with the patient and her family. Nurse Melissa was thorough with her medical care, and her attention to detail put the patient and family at ease while answering every question with compassion and understanding. I am so thankful and forever grateful to the Amedisys team for providing my dear friend the care she needed to be able to peacefully live the end of her life surrounded by loved ones at home. Thank you Amedisys!

Trying to make the best choice of who will care for our loved one, our Dad, a man over 90, is very difficult. We wanted someone that would make him feel as comfortable and loved as possible. Compassionate Care did exactly that . After exploring other agencies, the caring staff at Compassionate Care made our choice very easy. They helped educate our family on through this journey and gave comfort to us each day knowing he was receiving the best care available. They not only cared for Dad, they cared for all of us. It is difficult to find the words to express our family’s gratitude for the many acts of kindness that Compassionate Care provided our Dad and family during his illness. It is our hope that more people in our community become acquainted with the availability of Hospice as a service to those in need. I personally witnessed the care given to our Dad, Compassionate Care Hospice is a wonderful program that does “compassionately” care and helps not only the patient, but the families as well, to the end of life’s journey.
